November 2009- Hot Wheels Author Michael Zarnock was filmed in our Children's Museum of History & Science Hot Wheels Hall of Fame. One of the worlds leading Hot Wheels authorities. Mike is also featured in the Guinness Book of World Records, as a two-time world record holder (in 2003 and again in 2007!) Read the interview with Mike in The Car Room Magazine - Sept/Oct. 2009.

February 2009, Michael was inducted into the Die Cast Hall of Fame in Las Vegas, Nevada at the The DiecastSpace.Com Super Convention.

September 2008 - Hot Wheels Author Michael Zarnock is featured in the new "Ripley's Believe It or Not" book #5 "Prepare To Be Shocked", on page 210, for his obsession with anything to do with Hot Wheels toy cars and their accessories. It features his amazing collection on the fourth floor of our Children's Museum of History & Science! Michael is also inside and on the back cover of the 2009 "Guinness Book of World Records" for his record of "Largest Collection of Model Cars" with 8,128 Different Hot Wheels Model Cars.

November 19, 2004 Mike, the Mayor of the City of Utica and Museum Director Marlene Brown cut the ribbon at the Grand Opening of our new Hot Wheels collection. Museum staff and volunteers had been hard at work with Michael Zarnock preparing for the opening of his World Famous Hot Wheels Collection at The Children's Museum. Labeled one of the worlds leading authorities on the subject, Mike writes Collector Guides and Articles about Hot Wheels ® toy cars. Although Michael has more than 15,000 toy cars in his collection, this record is for 8,128 different Hot Wheels model cars. The old record was 1,500.
