We'll soon be setting up our new Mega Train Collection, on our 1st floor and our 4th floor. Both these collections were donated to us by people we didn't know, but who were aware of all we're doing!		Our Lionel & Thomas interactive train tables are on our 3rd floor near our new Christmas Villages!

5-10 The Community Foundation of Herkimer & Oneida Counties presents a check to The Children's Museum for our roof renovation project. L to R: Museum Board Members: Ed Waszkiewicz and John Nogas, Community Foundation’s Jan Squadrito (representing the donors who contributed), Museum Executive Director Marlene Brown, Jerome Donovan (representing the Senator James Donovan Memorial Fund), Mary Lyons Bradley (a Community Foundation Grants Committee member), & Museum Board Members Brett Levitt and Brad Brown.		This grant and other funds secured for this project enable the museum to begin Roof Project Part I, to repair our leaking roof with green technology materials, building on the premise that an environmentally sustainable building and operational practices are sustainable institutional practices. Fund raising now begins for Part II of our Roof Project which will include solar panels, wind turbines & a roof observation area, designed to save us approx 50% of our utility bills, and provide unique exciting energy efficient visitor “green programs”.
